23 Feet in 12 Minutes

Our current play, which made its debut at the NYC Fringe Festival this August, coinciding with the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, follows 6 real-life New Orleans characters whose lives were irrevocably changed by the storm. Their raw and poignant stories are based on over 60 interviews conducted with Katrina survivors and New Orleans transplants.

The sold-out run at the Fringe resulted in many wonderful reviews and an Excellence in Performance Award for Deanna Pacelli! Next stop: New Orleans this spring. Stay tuned…

What the critics are saying about 23 Feet in 12 Minutes:

“This play should be sent to every school, seen by as many people as possible, it should be performed on street corners…this is heartbreaking dramaturgy, and while I have had my heart tugged at this year at the Fringe, rarely has something just pounded at my chest until it nearly ripped my heart out. Go see this play.”

“The characters are played with stunning specificity by Deanna Pacelli…by simply and directly telling their stories, avoiding sentiment and cliché, the author and actor, supported by David Travis’ muscular direction…turn a 5-year-old story into a dynamic hour of theater.”
  - David Sheward, Backstage
“a tour de force”
